Coming Up for Air

Wow, it feels like forever since I was able to catch up but I've been on the run pretty much since Friday, with the Les Mills Quarterlies, a pharmacy locum on Saturday, Sunday RPM and my current coaching commitments.

In the middle of this, I have done something odd to my knee - something is rubbing against my meniscus as I internally rotate my tibia (this means that when I squat deep my knee is clicking as my tibia is rotating). I visited the physio, who didn't know quite what was going on, but when he palpated my popliteal muscle and hamstring tendon, I nearly went through the roof. I then had the most excruciating trigger point therapy...ouch.

A new program from Mike also landed on my desk today. Progression from my original plan which is nice. My deadlift technique is definitely improving, though I'm finding single RDLs hard going.

Teaching RPM tomorrow and really looking forward to it :)

I sit with almost the same injury for months now too, I did a Pump class months ago and injured, I think, my hamstring tendon, when ever I stand up my knee buckle under my that's how sore it is. Haven't been to a physio yet. The sport performance I had to do at uni every week kept aggravating it and I couldn't stop. I'm officially on break now so will try and give it a rest, which is hard to do.
Since I just finished my Human Anat I know exactly what you are talking about.
Did the trigger point work?

Hope your injury comes!
My knnees make noises when i squate or lunge i was thinking of getting them looked at there's no pain just noises?

Morning Liz, hope that u enjoy ur class today and that ur knee doesn't bother you too much.

Great news on your DL improving!! I used to find the single RDL's so hard but then Matt had me doing about 4 sets of 20 each leg, until I had it down pat - sheer torture :p
