Hi everyone,
Just to let you know that I'm offline until Monday or Tuesday. My hand swelling has become worse and my knees and toes are now joining the party. Have just come back from a round of blood tests and will know more on Tuesday. Dori, you were right -doc is looking at Ross River as the culprit - hopefully if I have it, it's a mild case as I don't have any other symptoms.
Cheers (and as Arnie says - "I'll be back!!!")

Oh Liz, I hope it is nothing serious!
Get better soon,
Sam
That doesn't sound good at all. I hope you find out what's going on soon so you you treat it. xxx
Yes, that is a bummer if it is Ross River.........but everybody suffers differently with it. I know people who have been hospitalised, or there was me, who just suffered with swollen body parts and aches and pains. I think from memory i had 1 really bad week, where the pain was intense, then it died down. It took my doctor 4 sets of blood tests to actually diagnose it. ie 3 weeks from first signs before it was pinpointed. I was tested for malria, Dengue Fever and Ross River twice.
Hope you get better soon Liz, sounds like whatever it is youve jumped on it fairly early.
Its amazing what a simple bloodtest can determine...
rest up and enjoy some peace and calm time.

Hope you get better soon - doesn't sound like much fun at all. xx
I'm thinking of you Liz and hoping that you get some answers and get better soon.
I had Glandular Fever and also swelled up like a balloon and it was really hard to recover from. I don't think I have ever been the same since :(
Thank you for your very insightful comment on my blog. I really appreciate it :)
Oh my goodness Liz, I hope you are ok soon, I did not realise you were not well until I saw this post.
Sending you well wishes from the West.
